1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of OtayoriJapan (the "Service"), including the weekly brief, the weekly CSV data export, and any related content made available through this site. By subscribing to or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

OtayoriJapan provides a recurring English-language intelligence brief covering Japan's e-commerce and retail market, and, on applicable plans, a weekly CSV export of the items tracked in that brief. Content is compiled from publicly available sources and is provided for general informational purposes.

The Service does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any business or investment decision.

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

The Service is offered on a recurring subscription basis (currently monthly). By subscribing, you authorize us, or our payment processor, to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices in effect at the time of your subscription are shown on the pricing page; we will notify subscribers by email in advance of any price change that applies to their plan.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not retroactively refund the period already paid for, except as described below.

• You may request a full refund within 14 days of your first subscription charge, by emailing us at the contact address below.
• Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods after the initial 14-day window, unless required by applicable law.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, including non-payment.

5. Acceptable Use

The brief and CSV export are licensed for internal use by your organization. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute the Service's content to third parties outside your organization without our prior written consent.

6. Intellectual Property

All content delivered through the Service, including the weekly brief and CSV export, is owned by the operator identified below or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any content to you; they grant only the limited use rights described in Section 5.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. While we source and date the items in each brief, market information can change quickly and we do not guarantee that any item remains current or complete at the time you receive it.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including decisions made in reliance on its content.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email in advance of taking effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a different governing law is required by mandatory consumer protection rules applicable to your jurisdiction.
